it is amusing to see how highly the Japanese regard Kendo, a mere sport, to the point of making it capable of defeating much more complex, strong and polished western fighting styles and weapons optimized for killing.
No, like Natsumi points out, he switched to actual swordsmanship instead of focusing on Kendo, because Kendo is just a sport, swordsmanship wins in a real fight.

They still think they're the superior "race" you see it all over manga every time some fantasy guy eat rice it's like you gave candy to medieval peasant the guy fricking orgasms on the spot, you'd have similar stuff in a western comic people would be calling you racist (to stay polite) it's genuinely sad to see theirs nation is dying due to low birthrates but they refuse to change anything and still think they're the superior culture and the important part of the social culture is still stuck in early 20th century. Some hardcore Japanese fans might not like it but Japanese society is horrible for what is considered different.

But hey Uryuu was cool af and it's good to see that piece of garbage knight getting his ass handed to him.

The OPness of kendo.
You know, before I watched a certain clip of some certain virtual characters, I would have ignored that word about being OP. But now I can't read it without keeping a straight face. Couldn't unhear/unsee it.

why tf did she send her brother after someone when last time her husband got beaten into the hospital because of him
I was thinking the exact same thing. "Oh, he beat the shit out of my husband and put him in the hospital so I'm going to go ahead and send him off to attack yet another innocent person that doesn't deserve it."
I really despise what this series has become.

As the chapter pointed out, he stopped using Kendo and used real sword style for combat (why he knows that is currently a mystery).

Adding to that, the main point of the last few chapters and how he ended the chapter was how the concept of having magic has been used as a crutch. The point is that he’s not using the much more complex, strong, and polished western fighting styles (and they were both using wooden weapons) but their version which works with magic. The ideal that their world is so ingrained with the concept of magic that they skipped what we would consider as fundamentals because magic bypasses it. She gave an example with farming, and the brother came into a realization of it coming for fighting. Thats why he wants him to teach him to how to use the sword, because he wants to learn sword techniques that are lacking from his world due to the reliance of magic.
