Boichi had to end it and I am sure he did not agree with having to do so. This is convoyed into the manga. What do you guys expect as for the ending. He took a logical ending(lets be real here, the MC is a damn robot and immortal) and then forced into this probably made him feel a little bitter. He was probably like "want to force end my work and want an ending? FINE, I will give you the ending you deserve!"
