@Zinon I fully agree with everything except for point 3. If I hit a hypothetical Ice-Resistant creature with an Ice-Magic-Wrench I will still kill it, because it's Ice Resistant but not Wrench Resistant. Same way being immune to any heat will still not save you from the sheer force of impact of 1 billion kamikaze lions.

But @Richman, the Lions are using normal attacks against Giratina! And it can't be holding a Ring Target because it's holding the Griseous Orb to unlock Origin Form.

No matter which rule set is used, unless lions are able to alter their attacks, they'll end up doing nothing!

If we give the Lions the normal type, then Giratina can't hit them with its ghost type attacks, so when it finishes the uses of the other 3 moves it has, it would die from the recoil of Struggle. (And remember that if we go by game rules, Pokemon can't kill a total of 1 billion lions because even if every pokemon oneshots every lion they battle, the amount of PP they have wouldn't be enough for all the lions). It goes both ways, just because the Lions can't hit Giratina, it doesn't mean Giratina can be defeated through other methods.

Well then, @Richman, are we giving Giratina a generic "Giratina" move set or are we saying it has the best moves for the situation? Are we using best of the best IVs, EVs, and Nature or we saying "out of the box"? This is also going solely based on the credits image using Giratina.
Because there are plenty of moves that hit multiple targets at once.
It's ultimately just a horde encounter on a massive scale.
