Let's say you're in MC's shoes rn, and then you're given an ultimatum to date either this new girl, or bro's ex girlfriend (hanabi), or just suffer a billion painful deaths over and over.

You can do whatever you want to address your chosen girl's issues, the only thing you can't do is break up with her.

Between a potential serial cheater or a verbal abuser, who would you guys choose to endure?

At this point in the story, Hanabi at least is showing hints of character growth and regret, so there is hope for a somewhat stable relationship forward. However, you just said we had to date either, not how long or under what circumstances. I'm tempted to go vigilante and date the new girl but ignore and actually date the main girl (she, and the ex-boyfriend know what I'm doing), so that she can feels what it is to be the cheated one.
