If i remember correctly he already reset her once in the past, i think by accident.

That gives her the motivation to overcome it again this time, and work for her love again from the start. It makes her redemption more meaningful and way better compared to the the other 2 girls, the junior and classmate.

This is the reason the Light Novel got discontinued/axed btw
People liked Gyaru over Childhood Friend but as usual that author doubled down on CHF and did the classic humiliation ritual making the gyaru handling the win over to childhood friend.
This also happened this other series with a childhood friend heroine disliked by fans that had the author favouring her and got the manga axed as consequence.

This series manga isn't doing good beyond it's debut chapters, people were already hating the author's bias and likely will last less than KoukouWeb and get the axe too.
The light novel adaptation is even more blatant with the childhood friend bias despite the author claims of changing over 70% of the story it still flopped.

Thanks for the info, i had no idea it was axed. Makes sense, i would understand if it was a triangle, but her stepping down like that was really bad writing.

As for the other one, that sucks. I read the whole WN, since it was a real harem ending the CHF didn't really win. Well she didn't lose either, so yeah...

Ahh it's this genre. Have anything decent ever come out of this.

I'm only aware of like 2 wn that were pretty good but only 1 was finished last time I was reading these. somehow just about everything else (especially anything with childhood friends falling out) is trash that only gets worse as it goes on.
