I understand wanting to keep your friends but it's logical that love is more important than friendship in most cases.
I mean friends are people you have a fun time with but love is someone you will live with for the rest of your life (or at least it's the goal).
Putting both on the same level would doom the love side or at least it would be an underwelming one (if you represent it with time spent, spending the same amount of time with your friend and your lover would be weird in my opinion).
I'm not saying always prioritize love, it's still important to spend time with friends but the former should be the first choice more often than not.
Sorry if it seems like stating the obvious it's just the manga is being weird about it, though i guess that's what the story is about.
I would say absolutely not. Friendship is just as important as romantic relationships, if not moreso. Friends aren't just there for having fun with occasionally, they're an important and necessary part of your support network. If the only thing you do with your friends is hang out with them sometimes to have fun, then that is a very shallow friendship.

Is this considered bad or neutral? If the author is afraid of the axe, they might be rushing a bit, no ?

It's a pretty bad sign that the author's been told to wrap it up, yeah. Not a guarantee, but at the very least, it's not a good sign. It kinda feels like we're hurtling towards an ending, doesn't it? Summer festivals are always ripe for shenanigans.

Koiwai has an outburst, but that's because she finally understands she's in love. She wants to go with Shunsuke alone to the festival but can't! That's why she can't help but avoid him.

But Koiwai doesn't want to hurt the friendship that Shunsuke has with Hinaki! That's why she comes up with a compromise.

However, this just ends up going against Hinaki and Shunsuke's desire to go with one person! Their desires lead to an amazing situation for the three of them. Now no one is sure what's going to happen!

What? You should never reach a point where you have to "choose" between one or the other, absolutely never. One should never try to weigh one over the other.
Both should be important.
And about marriage, the ultimate goal should be to become your wife/husband's best friend, this doesn't mean that you should replace your "real" friends with your wife/husband.

Welcome to the club, Kiyoka. This is what it means to be a character in a love triangle romcom. She changed her mind about giving up on love, decided to take the plunge and fell deeply into it, oh my. I'm really enjoying this manga now compared to before. The love triangle is finally taking shape (after 38 chapters) now that more than one person is actually in love.

Feels like the author is doing character assassination with Koiwai.

Just all of a sudden her character has become someone else entirely.

From a friendly girl to a jealousy fueled yandere-lite all in the snap of a finger.

Pacing is weird now.
Koiwai problem started when she was shipping people that didnt want to get shipped.

But now she likes him so she just did a 180, even her personality feels weird.
