Well, from what I partially know.

Students in Japanese Schools aren't allowed to Date with eachother by School Rules. And the few Schools that do allow, they need to get permission from Teachers & Parents to do so. So, majority of the times, couples actually keep their relationship a secret for a long time, because if they reveal it, not only would it be considered as social stigma but also people around might force them to break up.

Plus, relationship during School days is usually frowned upon in Japanese or any Asian society for that matter (which is why there are so many School Romance genre Novel/Manga/Anime series out there in Japan, as it's basically a fiction), as it is considered to be a distraction to education and sports as they lead to career building while relationship is seen as waste of time and immoral.

This is why there is actually a big interaction rift between boys & girls in Japanese Schools which leads to them acting seperately without ever interacting with eachother even in co-ed environment. And this is also a leading cause in lower marriage in Japan, as people are actively being discouraged from having relationship by the society form young age (as the common notion has become to avoid dating as it's a hassle).

Since the situation is commonly understood by people in Japan, Authors don't really explain it in their works.

This would seem odd, but it's primarily because girls usually do it as a fling with the popular guys (who are used to having sex but not interested in dating), while majority of the boys don't lose it because they either seek relationship (which they aren't allowed) or are uncomfortable interacting with girls in general (reason why Beta type male MC characters are so common in Novel/Manga/Anime).

yea all of japan dating is completely broken when you add that info and then there was a video I saw on what women in japan thought about men who are married and going after prostitution and they said they where totally ok with it because they saw it as a service and how at the end of the day they come back to them aka they own their hearts or w.e and then you get the opposite with a video I saw with a JP girl holding her BF's hand while he was crying because she was making out with a foreigner in front of him, so yea not surprised that NTR is such a popular tag along with what your saying too, its all fucking broken

I've come to the conclusion anything senien + erotica is gonna be garbage. Idk why senien is 9 times out of 10 some shitty story with the most pathetic MC and the most infuriating story imaginable.

It's why despite the issues I have with shounen I prefer it. And senien is supposed to be for older men but the stories are so depressing or complete bullshit. The idea that life turns to shit as you get older is a mindset I wholeheartedly reject.

This looks terrible, the author drew it like a multi colored animal to warn us to stay away, it looks like a NTR hentai without porn and with a female "guy", I don't like anyone in this story, the guy doesn't feel "real" is like he was shopped from another story.

For me either make it funny and sexy or create compelling characters, this looks like a work of self-pity by the author, it looks juvenile, where normal things are heightened to create more drama than there would actually be, as others here mentioned, it might be dictated by what seems to be a real problem in Japan society where relationships are somehow supposed to be avoided.....no wonder they are becoming fewer.

The real bold thing here would be to critic these issues and rise above them and try to establish solutions and the realistic consequences to these solution, a compromise, but one that doesn't kick the ball and at least tries to shake things up because no solution to such a grand problem can ever be definitive, Nukes didn't stop wars, but they certainly helped.

I don't see here anything that isn't being offered in a better form by other Manga.
