I quite enjoyed the conversation with Kumaka, felt like two characters who took a moment between themselves to try and assess a situation, I am glad she is not just a stereotype but can discuss things in a level headed way.
Son of Rentaro continues his journey to go to 4
What I am liking so far is that the writer is trying to keep him normal despite the abnormal situation, I love 100GF but if this one goes for a more grounded approach I think it benefits the story, that way it doesn't feel like a copycat and can make the somewhat incredible stakes more credible..........
Think about John Wicks, he committs inhuman feats, BUT, because of how much effort they put in with the stunt work, and you can see that what happens is actually being done, the actors do make those moves, it makes it all more believable, that way I don't have to actively use my suspension of disbelief.
I think it was first highlighted when he stayed up all night to make a schedule that would balance the time between the three of them....and then 2 things happened right after, 1) He was already exhausted at that 2) The third girl popped.
To me that means that he won't become a superhuman...or at least, we will see him grow as a person, to make it work.
