Remember that in japanese myths, crows are often depicted as the Messengers of the Gods with Yatagarasu, the three legged crow as god of guidance and related/subordinated to Amaterasu, which is extra funny, because Ruby when they were little acted as if she was the reincarnation of Amaterasu
