Oi... Why do I feel like he really dies... I mean, realistically speaking, the area looks to be remote, so the chance of someone finding him in time is very unlikely; but still...

I bet, that in the next chapters we will see him accepting "Aqua Hoshino's life" and then waking up after someone rescued him from the water. Again, cliché, but at least it seems like a logical progression.
Either that or he actually died. In that case I'd think the route would be he reborn again... which is likely going to be Ruby's child. But definitely without any memory this time, or it'll be weird as fuck...

Inb4 Akane also predicted this and is the one who will save him :dogkek:
Seriously wants him to crawl out of this one on his own.

Likely he’ll survive, just because “positivity”, and the rest will just Aka trying to make the situation looks more dire so the reveal of him still alive is like something to be celebrated.

A few chapters left but I'm not optimistic about the last 10 chapters living up to the greatness of the first 10 chapters.

Still holding out hope for Aqua/Ruby ending.

Seems like he returned to live in the end of chapter.

That what if is everything went right was wholesome and sad in same time.

Well, Aka could easily play this off as Aqua's rebirth from the burden of revenge and regret. Buddhism. We are essentially already hinting at this, saying that he needs to get rid of Goro’s legacy.
Is it?
What is Bad End anyway?

There would be no point for Aka to convince Aqua to value his personality and identity if he was going to kill him. So I think saving him as a metaphorical rebirth would be an obvious move.
