To be particular on my translation choices, the manga uses two different terms for gold digger. In chapter 5, they use a Japanese phrase which refers to a man who relies on a woman for financial security. In this chapter, they use the loan term gigolo, but you rarely see the word gigolo these days so I opted to use gold digger, since it's a pretty common phrase and not especially gendered (although mostly used for women.)

He's also referred to as Kaoru's younger brother specifically in the Vol. 1 extras.
