My honest reaction to the previous chapter:

drama for no reason and then they resolve it in a few pages in the very next chapter. maybe just leave that part out entirely? the only thing we got out of this is that she told the main couple that they like each other. but that could have been handled differently.

its just fleshing out characters and their worries. we already knew she truly liked him but she would never really express it to him because of his very straight forward way of approaching things and so now she voiced her true worries instead of hiding them. character building is never a waste and if you truly believe it is then maybe a slowish burn like this manga isnt really right for you since that is what the rest of this manga is very likely to be

i said drama for no reason cause for character development you can just have said characters open their mouth without this devolving into an implausible k-drama. but if you are happy with the chapter, good for you i guess.
