Let me be the first to say something other then something about Marika this is such a good series love what the author is doing even with the side couple he has done a great job adding some tension (the tension every time either of the side couple are together or are just talking about the other is fucking palpable its great) to the series that up to a point had no drama and felt just happy go lucky. Also I like how the male mc (I dont remember anyone's name in any manga) is just in general though him coming to terms with being a friend with female mc is a little childish but I think author is just trying to show the growth in a obvious way to the reader. I hope nobody reads my opinion doesn't mean shit im just bored

By "similar" I mean that the characters are not the default cut-outs that are scared to touch each other, there are different dynamics, there's actual sex happening (for some reason most authors just don't think that sex happens outside of marriage), and it's actually interesting to read. Any recommendations?

I can recommend I guess Horimiya, Bonnouji, Koi wa Hikari, Uwagaki; all pretty different from the norm and has everything you want (but they're also pretty popular).

More conventional mass market romcoms that have pretty good characters I would recommend are like, Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu, Hope You're Happy Lemon, Polar Opposites, Hajimete no Suwa-san (most of this one is locked behind an official service called mangaup), and the light novel of Tsurekano/Step-exes (also licensed, J-Novel Club).

A few in my list match a bit - Comic studio, Natsu no Zenjitsu, Hino-san no Baka, Musume no Tomodachi, Ise-san to Shima san.
There's also Kaguya-sama or Kare Kano from the more popular ones.
B-gata H-kei should've been something like that, but is too annoying.
(but Mangadex lost its database some time and I might not have a full record of what's interesting)

Caught up just to read the main couple have like 2% of progress while the side couple goes from -50 to 1000 in a span of like 5 chapters. And yeah Marika sucks

Hm. Just found "Houkago Play", which is weird, but very good in its own way. And is complete, so it should be fully translated soon

Why is the English name suggested as Pressed Flower?

(Oshi for push(from oshimasu) and bana(from hana) for flower)?​

I always that it was for "geeking out about your oshi" like how fans stan about their idol together..
