Does she not realize he likes her? Actually, better question does she realize she likes him? Does she like him? Does she just think he's a chill guy that she likes hanging around? Have we ever seen things from Houjous perspective or gotten any kind of indicator to her thoughts? We assume she's getting close to him because she likes him and we never once questioned that, she could literally have just gravitated towards him without knowing why. She could actually be that airheaded, again, we have never seen her thought process or what she's really like aside from her interactions with Tohno.

Part of what keeps this series moving, I think, is explicitly that we never get to see her side of the story. No inner monologues, no out-of-sight reveals, no solo scenes -- we basically only ever really see her when he does, the way he does. The reader isn't made privy to things that the MC wouldn't also know/see. This keeps up a bit of the mystery/uncertainty. Given the premise, the author has done an excellent job of keeping it framed in this way.

As you see, she play it slow and safe, then when MC feeling at its peak, she will drop the freaking bomb asking to visit his house and be introduced to the big bro. Then, she will slowly ditch MC where at the same time close the gap with big bro. Final blow will be she openly flirt with big bro and completely ignore MC all together. At that time MC will fall into the abyss, the void, and got pull by the great attractor to the nearest bridge..... and then he wakes up, eat breakfast and go to school.
