Being a middleman is a shit feelingOuch, the locker gift in the latest chapter is painful. Can confirm, being the voluntold middleman between girls and your infinitely hotter older brother/friend is a pain in the ass.
I mean, that's how trauma works, especially when the source of his anxiety (lazy older brother) is living with him every daythe main couple is cute, but the premise is stupid, 16 chapters later the boy is still in the "maybe she is using me to get to my brother", please
it's a silly trauma to begin with. the repetition of mc rejecting intimacy by distancing himself from the houjo is just dragging the story, it's ch 12 but heavier, houjo never talked about/interacted with his brother, he should know by now houjo is more interested in her friendship urara. maybe the author forgot about ch 9, pony tail admitted she was after his brother but endend up finding mc a nice person, he dealt with it more normally, this was a result with forming a bond with houjo. honestly, ch 16 is just so ??I mean, that's how trauma works, especially when the source of his anxiety (lazy older brother) is living with him every day
You didn't need to drag the point that this shit sucks, but you did it very wellOk bois, seems like we've found ourselves on the fluffy part of this website eh?
Looks like this will shape up to be quite the decent romcom.
The MC has an older brother who is the definition of Mr. Perfect apparently. And all the girls he's ever interacted with have always tried to get on dates with MC's brother using him. So it's understandable that he has self confidence issues.
The FMC is the typical, cool, ice-beauty schoolgirl who also happens to be the only girl not using MC to get his brother into a date with her.
Thoughts:
Look like it'll be purely fluff and good vibes, with some sprinkles of self doubt mixed in due to the MC's mentality. Ngl, I'm a big hater of these kinds of MCs but I'm willing to give it a pass just to give this a chance. The story can easily go downhill if the author decides to drag out the "oh she can never like me" plot, which seems to be the glaring issue with most mangas nowadays of this genre. Nevertheless, I do want something other than isekai and villainess slop that we've been getting, so let's see how this plays out.
