@DeadintheWater : The original basically said the nameless Goddess 'disappeared' from being forgotten by the people already.
From checking the RAW, some line seem to lost the impact in translation.
In particular the 'kindness' term, 善, which basically mean 'Good'/virtuous as well in that Good vs Evil sense.
The monologue switch actually happen from the start of that page (note the difference in textbox)
"For the sake of others,
For someone's smile"
"Even if you can't rank up, even if others mock you as [weed hunter], you continued being adventurer"
Middle panel actually say "I was watching over you"
The wish part actually was from BOTH of them (the raw explicitly has 'watashi-tachi' for the plural), their feelings of wanting to be together were recognized by the king of Gods
The bit after is fine, though I think a more literal translation would have bigger impact for the last line:
"I turned the kind/good(善) devotion offered into strength/power, and became a kind/good God (literally 善 + 神)"
In other word, it's his offered faith that turned her/gave her power into actual Goddess.
He 'created' his own Goddess who granted him her divine protection....
