In the before times they used bed pans and just cleaned up any spillage. Diet played a large role as well as they could adjust it so there were no solid BMs, and mostly a liquid output. They still needed to change bedding rather frequently though.I’m still wondering about how they handled the “other” end without making a mess. 1 and 2.
But I guess diapers were a thing.
Nowadays if they are long term coma patients they just use tube's called catheters and bag it. Easy to change, less mess, and simple to maintain.
