I wouldn’t really call Seo dense, it’s more that Kei and Ijichi are the literal queens of the school, so Seo is understandably much less likely to think they would even consider him a potential romantic partner. We know that they have the hots for him bc we see their internal monologues, but they don’t really do a great job of dropping clear-cut hints for him that he should consider dating one of them (besides a couple of isolated moments here and there). Like, the romance anime plan was pretty obviously not gonna work out how they planned 😅
