No, nostalgic, regretful, or envious, I'd say. He dropped out of school, after all. He can't meet friends at school every day, like most people his age (such as Kei, Asuka, and Mayu). Now he would have a girlfriend, but he can can't even talk about school and studies with her, let alone go to the same school as her.
