Nicooooole huhuhuhuhu i couldnt handle it in manga form, but i dont think i can survive the novel (esp since people say the novel version is more romantic)
@fatalystic@1pwny I think in the LN TL notes of volume 2, the editor said the 'Jeord' version they went with was some archaic version or George or something, and could be spelled Geord or Jeord but the latter was more commonly found so they ran with it.
They went through the Japanese syllables and Gerald would have turned out different than "Geordo" that it was written as cause there was a definite O sound in the second syllable it that Gerald obviously wouldn't have had.
The even better weird katakana name thing was the Sirius Dieke/Raphel character first appeared to be written as "Serious Dick"
