IIRC, that was a VIP kingdom ship and not even something made by Luxion. How did Luxion avoid the Sacred Tree’s control during the time Pierre got the ship?
Is it just because she’s from opposing ancient civilisation, or there’s loophole in how Pierre set the rules?
Dont know what's the op talking about but only a bit of a side character pov between Pierre and Leon fight been missing, was mostly comedy and probably be shown on the next chapters.Hasn't it already been a whole year since the teaser of this fight? And you are saying author rushed it? I am ignorant of how much LN impact was rushed so I would love your insight
Significant parts were cut. Louise was involved from early on, she was mediating the duel. Marie & co went back home before they went to Carla. Marie had previously gone to the Alzer library to learn about their interrogation techniques, which involved torturing with a chipped knife, she chipped it on the shelf right in front of the merchant. Noelle was with the sapling. The people in the audience talked about the political state of affairs... It was emphasized that Luxion specifically got revenge on the commander who inspected Einhorn at the beginning of the story.Hasn't it already been a whole year since the teaser of this fight? And you are saying author rushed it? I am ignorant of how much LN impact was rushed so I would love your insight
Luxion made Einhorn, it was to serve as Leon's transport while his original (decoy) vessel Partner was being repaired (the Principality sunk it to the bottom of the ocean). As Einhorn is Luxion's creation, all the littering on it and belittling of it is something he took personally, much worse than anything Leon has done.IIRC, that was a VIP kingdom ship and not even something made by Luxion.
Luxion was never part of the package, but Leon and Luxion took full advantage of Pierre thinking he'd nabbed Luxion.
Now, if the wager had explicitly called out Luxion as being on the line then everything might've been absolutely fucked (depends on whether the Tree can hijack the actual Luxion through the orb terminal), but Pierre had no idea the talking orb was completely separate from the ship he wanted.
The tree plays favourite for the seal bearers.Still dumb AF how the tree even allowed the wager conditions of the duel in the first place
Read up about how it went in feudal societies, especially aristocratic ones. Angelica's standing is very much like that of a princess and her family needs to keep up similar pretenses. Even if they forced them to marry immediately, it's not like that would not be a dead giveaway that the Redgrave women are supposedly "loose", which is not something a ducal family wants to be said about them. It goes beyond mere pride, such things affect their ability to form alliances and their overall influence, which you got a preview of in the finale of the manga's first part, where their house lost much of it's power due to a falling out with the royal family and the stigma of being associated with Leon. As for Olivia it's the other way around. While it wouldn't be anything unusual for a noble to have secret affairs with commoners, public ones would still be condemned. Yes, it's a double standard, given that she's to marry him anyway, but double standards are what the nobility were all about. Of course, she'd still be the far less troublesome case, since she's the concubine in that arrangement and whatever flak were to result from it would mostly be pinned to Leon and be prompty ignored by him, since he doesn't really care about his rank. How is that a scandal? He just needs to marry them in a reasonable time. It's a scandal if a man does the deed and then doesn't accept responsibility. Which is actually how many unhappy marriages began in the past when a man and woman did the deed, the woman got pregnant, and the man had to bear the responsibility and marry a woman he wouldn't have otherwise married. Of course it's a bit different with a princess since a woman in such a position can't really go around having dalliances, but she's already his fiancée. Who knows why this shounen plot needed to immediately send Leon to the shithole republic before the marriage was finished.
At this point Leon would fear the Redgrave duke more if he didn't marry Angelica. He's already such a valuable chess piece for the Redgraves.
Hard to say how much "reputation" would even matter in a system where the noble families have utter and perpetual control of everything, down to issuing direct commands to people that cannot be disobeyed. It's not like they have to care about anyone's favour and you can see in this very chapter that people are generally fed up with them and will take the opportunity to vent. As for the crimes, they're squarely Pierre's and they will make him shoulder all of it.I think in this case, the ruin the comment is talking about, is the major damage done to that family's reputation, with all the crimes being exposed right now.
The one you're looking for is Allen from Villager wants to save the villainess no matter whatA good ending to the subarc that began so poorly. If only Pierre wasn't so comically evil and stupid, and Leon had "lost" the ship in a manner that had actually made sense. Then this plot would have been jolly good altogether.
You should also add to the list someone who actually fulfills the husband's duties to his wife. Or wives, in this case.
