That seems somewhat unlikely because Leon didn't pretty much exist in the original work. The world was saved by Olivia (player) and the bunch of (useless) capture targets. Angelica didn't have a knight to fight for her, she had to fight herself, lost, and was disgraced. We can assume Leon in the original game wouldn't have even appeared because he would have been either married off to some 50 years old professional insurance fraudster (who would have him killed for insurance money) or would have died trying to be an adventurer without any otherworldly knowledge. Luxion was Olivia's (the player's) asset.

Maybe this new villainess actually read the news and knows Leon is an extremely strong hero. Or maybe Leon just is a villainess magnet...

I love how this new artist is doing their best to match the look of the previous artist. Even the characters expressions are similar to the previous artist. I wonder if they were an assistant. You see that a lot where an assistant of a artist will release something of their own, and it looks very similar to the artist they worked with.

I was about worried when preview images came out at the end of the 1st series that the look would change too much and be a distraction and possibly a detractor. But this looks great, they really pulled it off!

I do have 1 complaint though. Is it just me, or does it look like some 3D animation/posing software was used (traced?) for the character models?

I like how the first game's capture targets have shifted roles. They used to be antagonists for Leon. Now they're a herd of handsome idiots that Marie has to manage. The new role is much more fun.

I was walking my dog, and I came across a young man who had put in some serious work at the gym. He had his shirt off, and he was using the tinted windows of a car like a mirror while he flexed and admired his gains. Pretty funny thing to do in public, but hey, he earned those muscles himself! That's what the capture targets reminded me of while they got ready in the morning.

These idiots actually got the best character development out of all similar type from Otome villian novel trope while maintain their comedy aspect
