if they hadn't wasted so many chapters on 3 out of 13 total light novel volumes, the artist might not have lost any and all motivation. like the whole war arc could've been summed up in like 5 to 10 chapters without the reader missing any context whatsoever. not to mention this is a rom-com first and foremost, what's the point of wasting almost 40 out of 68 chapters on boring fighting lol
if they had introduced the other two girls already, things wouldn't have ended on such a sad note.

They "wasted" so many chapters as you said because thats what the author wanted, for a good adaptation, the artist was already burned out long before starting to adapt the 3rd LN volume, but the start of it was basically where she decided to stop and had already talked to her editor about getting a replacement, alot of this serie is about mech fighting, thats pretty much on the author as he love his mechas in his series

And Shiosato Jun "resuming" porn is whatever, her new work started long before she dropped mobuseka as a pixiv and later fanbox, just recently it got serialized anyway, whatever she wants to draw next is up to her

no. i'm probably not even gonna bother reading it since i literally just said in the comment you're replying to that i read this for the slice of life/ecchi/romance, which there was plenty of in the first 25 ot 30 chapters before wasting the rest on empty mecha combat. the series has attractive looking female characters and a harem story with some interesting twists. if they're gonna shift the focus on combat in the next installment as well and everything else is just a sideshow, then i'm not gonna waste my time on that, no matter how good the new artist is. and if they're bad, this would be another reason to not touch this. also, there's nothing "good" about wasting so many chapters when literally nothing happens and you could have summed it up with a few background illustrations and information bubbles. this could've been done in maybe 5 chapters lmao
