It's not a double suicide. The boy jumped to save her when she faked falling. His jump misses and he dies so accidental death. She doesn't want to live through the day alone so does jump to her death since she's looped so long.

It´s been established that death doesn´t break the loop since ch.2. They met when he interupted one of her suicides (which immediatly clued her in that he was also looping) and he outright calls her a former suicide addict.

I kind of interpreted it as her not wanting to spend the rest of the day without him. She already depends on him to a point where she broke down imagining he got out without her. I think for her it was probably easier to jump and go to the next day than to wait doing the same old thing.
