well they can't die every time but i imagine some stuff is more repetitive tho the readers prolly wanna read the rom com dates with the ennui/despair just being undertones

Early in this chapter I started wondering if they might actually experience the next day. By the end I was really hoping they don't.


The dark spot is still noticeable in the first panel of the next page, and what looks like it could be a bruise on her cheek. In that one it's actually kinda freaky how half-open her eyes appear, like she woke up or died as he was moving her head to his lap. Not to mention the creepy and/or freaked-out smile he has at the end.

…the more I look at it, the more I get into a state of mind where the "Zzz... zzz..." is the only thing that keeps me from believing the motion lines in those panels are actually death spasms.

Looking at it she falls asleep and hits her head still asleep. Then the artist has her eye lashes make it look like her eyes are open but she's asleep. Our MC then moves her to a lap pillow where the eyelashes are still making her eyes look weird. The weird smile is probably because he knows she won't wake up once asleep and he wanted to go to a proper place to end the day.

Did she hit her head? On the last panel on page 16 there is dark spot dripping in her head, and her eyes are kinda open

Yeah, she did. The untranslated sfx on that page are:

ズル = starting to fall

ゴッ= WHACK-

ゴロ = head rolling limply (also possibly a "ragdolling" sfx, though that's usually ゴロゴロ)

ツ = bleeding

That's how it is when you know you're stuck in a time loop. You can do whatever you want, knowing you'll be back to square one eventually.

I wonder about the long term implications if the loop ever stops, these guys are so use to killing themselves or seeing each other die and having no reaction to it because they know that'll they'll be fine tomorrow.

Will that apathy still go on once the loop ends?

With most author's I see it soley being a happy ending with no real thought of after the loop feels but this author has shown they take into consideration every possible factor for the loops so it's interesting to think about even if it's never explored.

It's possible that they're actually trapped in a limbo, so even if they get out of the loop the only thing that awaits them is heaven (to put it nicely)

(I tried googling "goro", but what I found was ambiguous so I thought maybe it was the motion of boobs wobbling in place.)

Could I ask what you think the "gu" is in the second panel of the last page? I can only guess it might be a sound to indicate she's still audibly breathing (i.e. might be but not necessarily sleep).

Her body spent so much of its resources on her boobs, there was only enough material left over for an eggshell-thin skull. 😅
