OK, thus is not a theory but i think this is what happened, ichinose left the loop before him because she started before him the loop. Theres a limit to how many loops there is. So when we see aoi alone is because she left the loop after so many suicides together. And in the end aoi has to live alone just like ichinose started alone. IM pretty sure its showing like symbolism or like showing equal amount of loop to each other. they both love each other that they gone crazy. we see inchinose starting the loop first and then we see aoi finishing the loop

so my guess is that they both in the end went insane, as we saw in the bloody collage in the end of the dude losing himself. and that someday the loop just randomly ended but they both forgot about the loop bcs well they went insane. like him checking the date out of habit and him going to school despite usually skipping it points that the loop did happen. And then obv he cant really remember her anymore but the feelings are still there.

I'm glad we got a somewhat happy ending, but we definitely needed more chapters to have a proper resolution. It's too bad it got axed without giving it more time to end things well.

Though, I have to say, you could feel their desperation in the sex scenes they were having. I also noticed they even had one threesome in there.

if you look closely you can see that is not even with her anymore. i take it they lost track off eachother by showing him at the fireworks alone. the constant dying prob made them go insane prob also why they cant even remember the loop

Huh . . . So . . . They don't remember anything from the loop? I feel disconnected that they felt somewhat blissful when they meet each other in this chapter. Since they broke up or went out of the rail in the relationship as shown in with the film reel, I figure they would have some bitterness when they met here. Even if they forgot, this chapter still showed they remember the feelings.

some other people theorised that she went insane earlier then him bcs she has been in the loop for who know how much longer then him. So after she stopped showing up he slowly went insane himself. doesnt mean they stopped caring for eachother. it has also been shown they forget stuff that happened bcs wel they saw that movie but both didnt remember they already seen it before. so they essentially forgot about the loop bcs they went insane, but seeing the date change instinctivly made them get up

We never got to know what finally made the loop stop.
They even spent the last loops without each other. It would've been so much better if they lost themselves then on the last loop remembered everything, did lovey-dovey stuff again and when they woke up, they would be together showing the loop ending and a new beginning.

For being rushed this was a satisfying ending for me. They were genuinely already insane, we first saw it with the guy not giving af that he ran someone over casual suicides all that. Then we get that montage in 26, they relived they day so much that they eventually drifted apart the male lives a debauched life of sex drugs and killing himself repeatedly. The girl is probably off doing the same thing. There was definitely unanswered questions but in the end it doesn’t really matter. They get their happy ending the memory of all their loops are erased but there’s still an echo that brings them together. (Remember the one chapter saying that if there was never a loop they probably never would have even talked to eachother). All in all this was the best outcome, loop memories erased but the connections are still there. 9.5/10 would have been a ten if it wasn’t axed like people were saying. Three days of happiness level for me

in ch 26 they going out more lesser, mashiro just keep killing herself, the sex relived her stress but it did not last long
is vague did mashiro leave the loop or not, i like the idea that she just kill herself the moment she wakes up,
as for aoi he keep banging all the girls to pass time and revisit place they went before then he become numb only staying on the bed until the loop stops naturaly after 500 billion year

My belief of what happened with the loops is that she gave up

We see in the early montage they are having sex at the school, outdoors etc, so they were trying basically every sexual thing they could think of but eventually she got tired of it and gave up only wanting to die, we see in images that the MC and her commit suicide over and over then she no longer appears

I think by this point she started taking herself out right at the start of the day before he could even say hello to her meaning there was no way to save her

The MC was broken and began passing the time as we see in the montage by sleeping around with classmates (One image shows him kissing the glasses wearing classmate of his and another shows him with the black hair girl who likes him) as it goes on and on he descends into full insanity by as what looks like in one image having sex with his sister and in others just killing people

The time loops then end because the manga got axed so the author just gave us a Your Name type ending

Agreed, I don’t buy into the “she got out of the loops before him” theory, I think she just started taking herself out the moment the day reset and he gave up as there literally was no way to save her anymore as she was dead by the time he would open his eyes

During the montage I don’t think she was also off elsewhere sleeping with other people like he’s shown to be or the author would have shown it, I think the more plausible explanation is the latter part of the montage happened because she began taking herself out at the start of the day as CH 26 hinted she was starting to do and he just lost his mind and began giving in to impulse and depravity

Series got cancelled, we're lucky the author managed to publish an ending and especially that they gave us a happy one where they'll be together. There's other examples of authors reacting badly to a cancellation such as the Gal Cleaning author who instead of quickly wrapping up his series decided to spite his fans over his cancellation by destroying his entire series and characters
