Mega Man 1 was pretty fun to play, back in the day. Harder than later games, and not only because of the lack of passwords. Although at least the classic series was never that forgiving.

Kinda surprising the way the manga is dead-set on progressing the obvious chemistry of our leads way faster than either the anime or the LN/WN. By the time Amane's parents show up for Hatsumode, these two might actually have something to hide here.

As someone having trouble with the first enemy, playing a 3D platformer is much harder than playing a 2D one. They made the right choice. Well, maybe they should've gone for Super Bros 2 instead, which is easier.

And you can only hit them if you jump up from lower ground, or with a special weapon. But on the whole, they were more annoying than something causing many deaths.

I think the 1-1 goomba has killed more players than any other specific enemy in any game. If you go by enemy type, it's probably a creeper.

I will admit I never had the 'teaching' experience, since the only significant other I've lived with was already a gamer and played stuff like SMT and Persona a lot more than I did. Though she did have me play through AC:Liberation and AC:Revelations for her instead of playing them herself- she enjoyed the lore and story for the AC games more than the actual gameplay, and I was more than happy to play through them for her (even though I already long-since finished my own playthrough of Revelations, at least, at the time).

But yes, playing games together is fun. I actually ended up introducing her to EVE back before we got together, since I was still into it with some friends at the time. She used it for research on her Masters degree, or something like that, because EVE really does have some fascinating socioeconomic microcosm shit going on.

Maybe one day I'll end up with another gamer gal like that and it'll actually last. Getting older, though...
