I much prefer reading over watching due to time, but I'm tempted to watch the anime.
The anime is quite good but not perfect. I think the MAL rating of 7.82 is a little low. The first season ended in a future chapter. There is a confrontation near/at (?) the end of the season that was quite well done, in my opinion.
Of course, source material readers usually complain about how much is left out of almost all anime adaptations so decide for yourself. The Tokyo Blade arc of Oshi no Ko gave a good look at how compromises have to be made when adapting between different media, be it print, graphic, or visual.
Both the manga and the anime are based on the light novel.
