Pudding means a lot of different things in different places. In general, it refers to savory dishes or custards (that are not always desserts - savory puddings are often part of main meals). British english refers to pretty much any dessert as pudding, and American english refers almost exclusively to a milk-based dessert concoction that is thickened with starches or eggs.
It's also noteworthy that in almost every part of the world most gelatin-based products are referred to as a jelly (be it candy or what Americans refer to as Jell-O), which is often very confusing to Americans who usually only think of jelly as something you spread on toast (which, ironically, is thickened with pectin, not gelatin).

Oh man, Mahiru is sooooo in love with Amane. Have to imagine her holding herself back from jumping him. Takes just a little praise from Amane to turn her into a puddle.

Pillow is her security item at this point. If that has any trace of his scent on it, wouldn't put it past her to have taken a whiff of the pillow by this point.

Mahiru and Amane, are old enough to marry and Amane's Parents are Rich/earning good money. why can't the Author move the relationship to engaged and make normal couple stuff?

I don't even care about all the Drama, from the whole Cast.

They're not of legal marrying age yet, a fact that will drive quite a bit of relationship "drama" much later in the series. The LN author has stated that she wants to see Mahiru's wedding dress illustrated before wrapping things up, so it's probably only a matter of time.
