We're still quite far from the end of season 1 (If I had to guess, about another 12-14 full chapters away; 1.5 light novel volumes away; 90,000 words of content away) The anime really rushed everything from this point on so there's still a lot more to go than one might believe.

Just for fun i wanna add that a little while ago at around chapter 20 of manga, i estimated the number of chapters until the end of s1 in manga based on ln chapters and volumes and estimated (not accounting for delays and stuff like that, if im not wrong i estimated between 50 and 60 chapters) that final manga chapter adapting ln volume 4 would take around 3 years from manga chapter 20. This was back when chapter releases were regularly biweekly, so i think the eta is extended for now. Don’t ask me why, i just had nothing better to think about while running track

It is a single chapter cut in parts, so obviously the end is sudden since it wasn't designed for such pacing. Maybe other chapters did the chopping better, though. You might have a different opinion.

yeah its y i bought all the light novels since i couldnt really rely on the anime for everything so i got to see(read to be precise) all the original and good stuff including bits and pieces where the anime and manga didnt put in

I uhhhh I suppose the chapter cover works for the case but would've never even thought of that concept at all just for a cooking class story arc.
