That was sad, but understandable. I thought he'd try to quickly dash to Karluk and Amira's town before heading back, but yeah, his decision would affect not just him but also 3 others, so it's better to be sensible here.

I hope he'd try to visit them again after the war calm down in a few years to take pictures of Pariya's wedding, since her marriage got postpone for a few years to saved up dowries that got destroyed in that attack, anyway.
