Even funnier is that skelly is the skelly general who is capable of speech. He somehow lost against an ant foot soldier, who presumably shouldn't be as intelligent. The again in the WN, Rare did raise the INT stats of some ants with specialized jobs so that they can make decisions on the fly.

So I skim through the WN chapters, trying to check the difference between WN and manga. Overall the plot remains the same, just some of the extra fluff are cut short, probably for pacing reasons. Because seriously, the author does have a habit of writing long elaborations that won't translate well in manga format.

Wayne actually also noted Kerry acts like she is roleplaying and speaks more crass than Rare!Kerry. Heck, he even noticed the way they navigate the forest is different. Kerry was keeping up the act she isn't familiar with the forest while Rare being Rare, did not attempt to act at all.

Rare also told Wayne that Kerry is stressed out from the acting, which Wayne immediately blames Rare for it. Rare internally blames Wayne instead.
