Because this story? This story right here? Has ACTUAL character development. The real thing, yep. Not bullshit where someone's an asshole for 1000 chapters and suddenly they're the friggin' Pope. Real, honest to goodness reasons to slowly and steadily change over time, to become a better version of the person they used to be. Or worse, in a couple of sad, sad cases.

Tbh I find this manhwa quite annoying right now. Like there really isn't any enjoyable character, MC included, imo and nothing that is happening is enjoyable either. I guess I will just put this on hold and put my faith in the character development that has been prophesied in a previous comment.

Somehow... this manhwa feels so heavy. It's a drag. It's a slog. Even seeing Erina (or was it Euphemina?) just feels me with disgust. I want her to not just lose, but to get eaten from the inside out by tapeworms. Suddenly having her try to rescue the MC just makes me so damn bitter. Aside from that, the MC is nowhere near daring enough. I must say, FFF-Clash Trashero is much better than this, even though the there MC is clearly a jackass. But, he's got guts. The MC here? Ugh. Overcooked pasta seem stronger.

Grid in the beginning is not a good person, you can read his name as Greed because that's all he thinks about, what's in it for him so to say and he's also not very bright. His luck is also terrible which is why many bad(?) things happen to him.
I managed to get through the beginning of the LN due to the writing being better and the comedy was much more prevalent. It gets A LOT better later in the series but it's not a fast development, it happens gradually at a pace that you won't even see until you realized that he's actually become a good person and strong player.

@Keyar they change are already noticable, i think it was a few chapter back when he woke up early and ate breafast with his parent, after the meeting with Khan etc his confidencegot boosted and his mannerism also changed

@Wind1 you dont like her because she is on the opposing side of MC right now. everyone would want to get the most benefit out of big reward quest everytime. and that includes the MC. (yes, he does rip people off consciously sometime later because it benefit him )
the thing is, many quest in that virtual world are like that. designed not only to help player but to hinder them and help other, so everyone can be heroes and villain and still get the appropriate reward. simulating real world

@AAA1 pretty sure there's nothing as complex as like that, too much work and too much potential for buggy gameplay. that's why the story put emphasis that Satisfy (the VR game name) is the greatest game of all time since its simulate real life as if NPC is true human
