Reading the original page comment section, seems this one based on a folklore:

@Lallander Probably not since it SCP's weren't really a Japanese fad to start with I believe. Mostly came up from America/English speaking countries. And I think most of the earlier numbers were already taken up, and the newer ones are labeled in the 5000's. Also I believe that Japanese made SCPs are ended with a "-JP". Still I can see why you'd think that.

Incidentally, the real life SCP site is in trouble with copyright trolls.

It's not a troll, this guy really, really wants the SCP website. Which is complete and utter bullcrap, but the legal battle isn't looking pretty.

so what would happen if you were to chop down the tree or cut the noose from a distance? would the guy be saved or would he just flop down like a puppet? or more than likely the guy and tree are part of the SCP creature and are most likely immune to damage

@Doomer Well, SCP stories usually don't end with the thing being destroyed, due to making the report essentially meaningless as a reader, since it essentially becomes a 'wait for Goku to beat the shit out of someone' moment. In universe, trying to destroy objects may lead to more dangerous objects. This is best shown by SCP-1609, which was a chair that teleported to whoever who needed a seat(Safe Class) to a pile of broken chair pieces which, if scared, will teleport into the provoker's body, causing death by internal bleeding(Euclid). This only happened because the SCP was thrown in a wood chipper. In this case, shooting any part of the SCP may just cause the dog to grow stronger and increase it's 'attack radius'. Which you know, is bad.

@AgentKuga @psgokhan horrible idea, the dog is a vengeful spirit with a really basic ability it grows proportional to the level of perceived threat against himself or his master.

Right now he is already Euclid but you could be birthing a Keter or Tauhmiel for nothing.

I think what always made this one especially effective to me was that he jerks and twitches when the dog is near, and stops when he is away which seems to indicate that the dog being near him causes him physical pain or to live through an endless hanging. So you have a dog protecting a master who is only actually hurting him by being near.
