I'd be pissed if Kanejo ended up having supernatural powers that force the protagonist to rely on others (again).

It's about damn time the protagonist overcame his trauma by beating him up alone/without external help.

Plus, there's no bigger humiliation than losing to the guy you tried so hard to make miserable. His ego must have been inflated from being treated like a god in the new world thousands of years ago, only to be beaten by an average 'loser' with no supernatural powers

But that's just me having my hope up
It's hinted that it's nanomachines son.

Also remember, Kanejo could not win without cheating in those Kendo matches.

I fully expect Kanejo to be one-shotted pretty easily Lynn's final bosses usually are of course in this case Kanejo is more like the final boss before the final final boss. That depends on if Lynn is going to make Youta do a heel turn, or if Nishina's heel turn is self-motivated or if she's been on Kanejo's side the whole time.

Definitely gonna be "It was me Austin" memes out there if Nishina drops a heel turn.

The only way I can stomach this revelation if Kanejo brainwashed Nishina into becoming his woman.

But then the next question is that if Nishina is on Kanejo's side, why did Kanejo wanted her dead when he temporarily woke up?

Thank God we’re finally getting closer to the end of this story. Only the big bad stands in the way.

Who is nanomachines? The wiki for this says he is an orphan that doesn't know who his dad is.
Nano-Machines, they're really small machines think like the Iron Man suit in Infinity War. They basically used in science fiction as a Deus ex Machina they can do and be anything the writer wants. I'm thinking that it maybe just one of my theories, but it's on Brand with Lynn's writing style. I though youta thought about it or it was referenced during Sandorio or on the journey there.

Yeah it wouldn't go over well but I was just thinking what's the most edgy thing that could happen because Lynn goes for that a lot at least in Elfen Lied and this work has more in common with Elfen Lied than Brynhildr.

He could also make the excuse that she's suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

As for the reason he wants her dead, I doubt he'd do this but he might just ignore it, When "Kanejo" was first brought up, unnamed, in the Beach arc he was a great deal shorter and Youta suggested he couldn't beat him through skill rather than Kanejo's subterfuge.

Alright, we'll see. I still need to check out the author's earlier works, starting with Brynhildr.

I remember flipping to a random chapter in Brynhildr that ended with MC's friend drop kicking a man through a windshield of a car to save someone. That ending alone hooked me into wanting to read that manga one day.

From the way your sentence was written, I thought it was a nickname for someone. So, you're saying he was born from nano-machines? He is the son of someone who made nano-machines?

Ah sorry about how it was written I was forcing a Metal Gear Solid reference.

Not born of them, but he has them, either he was granted them or he took possession of them sometime after arriving in the future. That's why those that consumed his blood became witches.
