That's a pretty shit reason. Plenty of manga and other types of literature have thrown big ass plot devices out the window in exchange for money, lack of money, and many other reasons.

Alice in Borderland's big plot device was collecting all the cards to let one dude leave and repeat that all for eternity, but that went to shit (I'm aware it was a lie, but that's also not the first time BPDs are lies).

Ender's Game threw the plot device of Ender being able to communicate with the aliens out to make a sequel about it (money).

Every Marvel movie throws the plot of saving the world for the last time out the window because money.

I can't begin to list the tons of times where heavy plot devices meant nothing to the creators

@JustNatsuki: Those are great examples, but I was referring specifically to manga. AiB was an example, but by your own explanation it's not a great one either. You seem well read, so I'm guessing you have other examples? Movies (especially American-made ones because...c'mon.) aren't that great especially these days because they cut a SIGNIFICANT amount of plot overall in favor of action and special effects. Different audience, you know?

@TwilightFaze How was AIB not a great example? Also, plot is everywhere and you can't say HPDs aren't thrown out the window specifically in manga without looking at the whole picture. If you don't, it might as well be fake news, since you're specifically cherry picking information without looking at the entire picture.

Wasn't cherry-picking or anything, just going by what you said. Maybe you can explain it to me? What's BPD and HPD? I was thinking they were "police departments" in the manga, but from how you're talking, I think I'm way off-base now.

Thinking about giving the manga a read unless you recommend against it. Like I said (and no sarcasm) you seem pretty well-read and knowledgeable reading your past posts!

The story is that they are after the DJG to kill him to lift the curse, but the MC also wants answers so he's hoping the DJG will give him the answers he needs before the final battle.

@Zenith_Tempest I agree with hour theory. DJG is his classmate who is on coma. That's why the DJG is asleep, and needs to be awaken. It has been shown that it is Earth in future and the building looks like hospital or some research facility. Lilia is time traveling maybe from even more distant future. And that's my guess but they are born in castle via in-vitro.
