Wait, so basically... our MC is a second rate healer, but joined elites as a healer and gets kicked out... so our MC lied to his team and risked their life... for reasons... and they kicked him out... hope they don't make his teammates evil, since they seem to have an actual reason to kick him out...
I mean, if you do a bad job and it's a job where people have to risk their lives... then of course they'd kick out someone who is dragging them down...
But, I'm guessing that the MC will still somehow be the victim.... well, I'll see after the chapter gets posted...
Edit: So ya, the MC lied to his group and was a jack of all trades, but claimed to be a healer and nearly endangered his group's life... but the group is being portrayed as the bad guys even though our MC wasn't pulling his own weight and lied to them to boot... 🤨

@deathmailrock the day the mc got kicked out of his party was after a raid and the party blamed the failure on the mc
which he accepts tho at the same time he thinks to himself that since the main damage dealers in the group were too busy having sex all night resulting in them not being able to fight like they usually would(too tired after a late night expending energy on the other activities) be able to then at least some blame should rest on them for the failure(not to mention both of them were completely drunk at the time of the raid)
as for him joining through lies...from what i read it has not yet said anything about how he joined that team but it is a well known fact in the area that he is considered a failure so the group has known long before the latest raid anyways
anyways so far the party that mc was in at first is painted to be utter scum...they physically abused mc(saying he can heal himself instantly since he is a healer) mentally abused him(tho thats not just limited to his party) and when they raided mc got paid next to nothing so much so that he saved for many years to buy his armor which was then confiscated from him when he got booted out of his party
all in all lets just say i hope this party gets to eventually see where mc is going now that he met a person who really seems to care for him

@ryunakama But, here is the thing... he's a sh*tty healer, but tried to get the job of a healer... if he's a Jack of all Trades, then he should promote himself as a Jack of all Trades and show his value in his area...
He gives people a sh*tty impression, does a bad job and then gets insulted cause he doesn't properly defend himself while having the ability to do so... he sells himself as bad, gets into a sh*tty party and then is portrayed as a victim... that's just stupid...

Everything about the first chapter was just... awful, yet it's not the worst I've read

and already I hate this. Like I won't say it CAN'T save itself but it's premise is just terrible. Isn't it entirely his fault for getting kicked out if he was a DPS wasting time trying to be a healer? The hero's party is entirely justified in kicking him out if they didn't know.
The author clearly didn't understand the basic idea of the "kicked out of the hero's party" setting. The idea behind the setting is the character is either kicked out due to jealousy, leaves due to a fight, or is looked down upon due to being a support class despite being OP at being support.
Having him be an OP DPS character that just .... wasn't doing DPS makes the premise completely fall apart. Because nothing the author does to make excuses will make that kind of behavior make real sense without feeling forced.
@deathmailrock Yeah after reading it I see it's even worse than I thought. I will never understand Japanese writers and their absolute obsession with making the MC the hero. No matter how evil, crazy, or scummy the MC is they will make the people around the MC even worse simply to make the MC look like a saint in comparison. So even though the MC is a liar and asshole for risking people's lives for the sake of a lie ... he's still the "good guy" because his party is even worse.

i don't know whether i love or hate that nowadays there are descriptions calling out a manga/novels bullshit before you even start reading the first chapter

This is like, the third or fourth version of this exact story that I've read now. And each one gets lower in quality -- worse character art, panelling, dialogue...

@rayandikaa It's worse... because it's following the "they kick him out because he was pretending to be a healer but really wasn't" novel...
That said, these tropes are at least usually used to just start the story... so it's easier for some people to swallow...

@Metazoxan To be honest, I feel these are more "just for fun" novels that we aren't supposed to over think... but really... if you are going to make the MC the victim, why also make him in the wrong? Like, the point of these stories is that it makes us pity the MC and then feel triumphant when it crushes them...
