I'm amazed by how much authors can pad out stories with the same unnecessary tropes time and time again.
How many times has this author pulled this now? I'm getting tired.
Because we all know this is just padding for time and like 15 chapters later we'll get past this completely hamfisted subplot and be back to square fucking one. Then the author will find something else to pad time.
Sunk cost fallacy is pretty much the only reason I'm still here.
