I'm glad the MC has actual proper development, he's not good nor is he an edgelord, he just want to do things the way he wanted to, and even better that he refused to just get free OP shit just like that, I thought the moment his power was revealed to be a skill stealer it would turn to shit just like most MC with that kind of ability (Slime, Rou, etc.) what a breath of fresh air that the MC got some dignity!

Nah the majority here is wrong. He definitely should have gotten the power, it would've came in handy.

What, is he gonna talk the enemy to surrender? Teleport? Nah I'll tell them to open their gates. And as shown, he could've also used to the power to make his friends come to their senses 🤦‍♂️

Also those saying he wouldn't have been able to handle it, the ability he steals adjusts to him 🤦‍♂️, he gets a lower version of the ability which he might just grow to surpass the original one.

This is what his power is as of now, idk if it'll be nerfed later on cause plot, just as how he refused an awesome ability.

3. I'm disappointed in this set of tropey-tropes; the entire "make dumb choices to assuage your pride" ideal that so many manga try to force on the reader is so utterly banal.
This ideal is why there are 2nd- and 3rd-world countries; as long as your pride keeps you from succeeding (and it does, 100% of the time), you will always simply be... below average.

To be honest? What kinda reason would Nightingale even have to do all this shit? It would have made more sense if Neumann's past life as a neet made her dislike humans in general or something of that sort, the mind-control plot twist just makes zero utter sense.
