"Phantom" chapters for those chapters scanlated by group that doesn't want to upload to MD

Basically works the same as delayed chapter, show message that this chapter might be available in the group's website when opened.
Just empty chapters, maybe with chapter title, for notification purpose.

And honestly, I think this would be a decent solution for the current drama.
Unless of course, I'm an idiot and the groups actually mainly takes problem with MD community rather than MD as platform.

Edit: Apparently, I'm an idiot that doesn't notice this settings called "Show unavailable chapters"
It would be nice to allow any normal user to upload an unavailable chapter though, for notification purpose.

I could be wrong so don't take my words for gospel. The current drama is a mixbag of things. The groups that signed and left were involved in some drama where groups were calling each other mean names in the released chapters. So they were butthurt that MD refused to police the community drama. They wanted more options to be added to the delayed chapters so they can create more insentive for donations. They were claiming that they used donations to buy raws(that's a lie, you can download raws without paying for anything but i understand that they wanted to make some buck of their work). MD discord had a talk 'bout future of MD and it was mentioned that if they would manage to outcompete many aggravator sites then they would go official. So the groups that were already clearly unhappy decided to generate outrage and hurt MD name while hopefully pulling some MD readers with them.
I could have some MD bias in this matter as i have seen the discord quotes they used and they were taken out of context. On top of that MD didn't hide this idea of going official, they literally said it in the discord for all scan groups to see.

Well, I still don't understand fully.
I mean, group shitflinging drama will still happens even if they leaves MD. Trolls will be trolls after all.
And about the various options for delayed chapter, I haven't seen MD outright refuses adding that feature, so I really don't know what to say. I guess those features stuck in the to-do list for so long may add fuel to fire.
And about donation, I don't see MD taking stance on that, so I don't understand why that matters. Some people does takes offense on the whole donation thingy, but not like leaving MD will make them magically disappears. They would just move to the scanlation site instead.

So I just thought that having MD "advertises" those groups chapters, would dispel the last claim, since MD would still supports them even after they leave MD, not just using them as mere tools.

That's just my shallow understanding of the situation anyway. I don't even know this thing is going on until the banner pops-up, so treat my uninformed opinion with a grain of salt.

I agree that it would be a lot more convenient if the delays could be linked directly to the chapter on the scanlator group’s website.

I'm not saying that MD refused the additional features but they certainly aren't in use as of now. The donation part had nothing to do with MD, it was part of the drama. They basically were being called thiefs and liars in slightly different words. They used the other group in their leave manifesto saying that MD is creating anti scanlator behaviors by not wanting to police the drama.

I agree with the notification thing.
I mean, a notification and a link to the chapter on the scanlator site would be perfect, kinda like NovelUpdates.
So I can continue following all the series without the drama.
