Yeah, Hario being a bad man is such a nice fantasy for Takara because it not only makes her whole love "possible" but absolves her of any guilt she could have about wanting to pursue a married woman.

On Ema's feelings, I feel we are missing something else. I can't believe Ema is blind enough to think "Takara will hate me if she knows I married Hario even though I wasn't in love with him." I feel there is something else weighting on her mind.

Well, maybe there's something else, but you gotta keep in mind Ema's intense feeling of guilt for not being happy and in love with her husband even though she technically has it all, also the guilt of not being "normal" in such a heteronormative society, repressing 20 years of comphet gotta warp your mind big time, Takara is the light she needed badly but those feelings resurfacing are shattering her whole perception of life and what she probably thought would be her whole existence

No negativity, just accepted that it's way too common for mangas to turn into garbage lol

I do agree this mangaka seem good enough to not do that, the good quality has been consistent so far, but you never know

And she's apparently made sure she has an independent source of money.

She's been putting thought into her next phase of life for awhile. Takara could be icing on the cake, but not responsible for splitting up a couple.
