Let's not lose the plot, Hario is nice enough, and that's about it, it's pretty clear that Ema's feelings for Hario are nothing like the ones she arbors for Takara, and Ema keeps hating herself deep down because she's unable to love Hario, she appreciates him but you never see her truly happy and free when she's with him, Hario is the first one to say it, there's no such thing as a Hario endgame, or rather if there was it would be called something else, like clipped wings

Oh I get that for sure. You're totally right. I reasoned that I couldn't quite see Ema breaking it off with Hario so easily. I don't think there will be an open marriage because she doesn't love Hario anywhere close to how she loves Takara. Nor do I believe there will poly (that would have to have Takara mutually love Hario and we know damn sure that ain't happening). I am just very interested in how Ema and Hario's relationship deteriorates. Will Hario stay as the nice guy or will he be turned into the scumbag?

Hario is a bit pushy, persistent or whatever. He's not a bad person, he's not just fit in the story of two women that had an established bond since high school. But I'm anxious of how these two women will end up. Will Ema have the courage to divorce Hario-san and be with Takara because obviously she's happy around her? Or she stay married for convenience and keep Takara, suppress her feelings forever and selfishly just wants her when she needs her? If that happened, it sucks and I will be sad for Takara even if she move on and accept Ema's decision.

I think Hario will remain a good person, which is what constitutes the crux of the story for Ema, "it would be so much easier if you were an asshole" as said Takara, it's gonna require a lot of strength to initiate a change in the relationship from Ema's side, we'll see how it evolves, there is still the matter of Ema at the lesbian bar that hasn't been approached yet

I really wonder what the issue is. I agree there’s a sense of doom hanging over this series, and the only real hint is Emma possibly frequenting lesbian bars. But it’s not like she has a girlfriend, and the husband seems like a genuinely nice guy. It sucks for him, but I can imagine him being hurt yet handling the divorce with grace.

I didnt read it yet lol so hario and ema should break off the marriage since they say hes a nice guy, i just thought he deserves better or something than be with someone who doesnt love him. Reminds me of Imagine Me and You film.
