I don't think she is still that desperate to find a home or not as desperate as back then, so she might have rejected him and just kept him as a friend.
ALSO she might have a boyfriend if you read again she didn't mention anything about her not having one she even hinted that she moved on saying "back then, i liked you".
(btw, i searched his blog and twitter and didn't find anything relating what happened after the story so this is all my opinion)
