it’s the author that created that setting and wrote the characters acting that way, since it’s not a historical novel set in 14th century France they could have just as easily wrote it so it’s fine and normal for two girls to not to replicate heterosexuality in order to get their dad’s blessingGiven that their society still has a feudal government and values class-based discrimination, I think the best our protagonists can hope for is something like this.
"Over Twenty Years Ago" means "Just after we handed Elsa over to the orphanage"Meanwhile Duchess Mum gives the vibe that she has been shipping them for years!
the B-plot has never felt like anything besides Fae's plot is the B-plot. the school, the cousin, and the prince dont matter. We already had the whole timetravel bit where Elsa proceeded to strike a deep core mine into Lena's heart. But this still feels unsatisfying from a narrative perspective. Like serious problems are getting brought up and then just hand-waved away too quickly.
I gotta disagree. It creates a tool against it. The ultimate heteronormal 'logic' usually devolves into an argument for the need for babymaking. Valid or not, the ability to neutralize that argument is progress, not a patch. The magicology invention is nice for those involved but all it does in practise is "patch" the fundamental heteronormal societal values without changing the underlying fabric of society.
Acceptance at the cost of forcing the normality of biological parenthood onto the couple/s. Instead of making the society accept childlessness or adoption as viable alternatives. Does nothing to adress the societys obsession with bloodlines and biological propagation.I gotta disagree. It creates a tool against it. Yep.@foxhumilis is DuanS the '断s' mentioned in the MangaDex credits for this series?
So my point sailed right past you. Sometimes you need to let go of your prejudice long enough to recognize that the other person is not saying what you are assuming they are saying.Acceptance at the cost of forcing the normality of biological parenthood onto the couple/s.
