Religious zeal and divine magic power monopoly and authoritative figure over the entire land and trust in church activities......... to name a few.... those are all very easy reasons to use as plot devices to push forward the story. Like, super easy pick to get some conflict rolling.

Throw in a pretty boy/hot priest and it's like, a no-brainer lol

@ cheezybr3ad in the novel when the duke (zahid) asked our mc what she wants he also said that he will give her siblings a proper education in the same sentence, that is the reason she chose to ask to buy clothes for her siblings instead of giving proper education.
But the manhwa left that part out for some reason.
