I wish this was the canon fight for the champion fight in the official manga. I mean in the official manga it was epic but in terms of emotions and quality, I think is one is just plain better. Also off topic but I had hoped for a Blue x Red shipping but this chapter is just Blue x Green all over. Damn, my ship

Considering how maturely this manga is written I highly doubt it's going to be sunshine and rainbows after he has his epiphany. Also your average Shounen rival only wants power for the sake of power or revenge. Green clearly wants power in order to maintain some sense of control over the fate of his Pokemon. So the Raticate incident may never be repeated again. While at the same time deep down he wants someone strong enough to prove him wrong. Which is part of why he taunts people like a Saturday morning villain.
