Policy on dual-demographic series?

Is there a policy currently on how to handle dual-demographic mangas?

Currently thinking of https://mangadex.org/manga/28659/itou-kun-wa-koi-wo-shiranai which appears to be published in both Comic Meteor and Comic Polaris, and so is technically both shoujo and seinen.

I tried just sticking on one of the old demographic-genre-tags to handle it (since the demographic field only allows one selection) but someone seems to have removed the tag.

I was considering putting up the tag again and putting a note in the description explaining the situation, but before that I wanted to check if there was any official policy on this.

how about series that moved from one demographic to other?

Yeah, the basic policy is to go with the magazine's demographic to avoid subjectivity, but in edge cases like this it's probably best to just go with whatever seems more accurate, subjective as that may be. It's not such a huge deal that MD's going to implement dual demographics.

Really—are the deprecated but extant "shoujo" "shounen" "seinen" and "josei" genre-tags so verboten that we shouldn't use them here, then?

There are roughly 80 series in Batoto's database that have multiple genre tags, so it is indeed pretty rare.

I suppose it could suffice to just include a parenthetical clause in the description. Hmm...
