yeah the top 10 are pretty trash as well. i wonder how they even get up their, it's mostly just fantasy/isekai slop

As Xnot explained, the inconsistency with the caching means that the number you see on the title entry and the number the manga list uses for ordering the entries can be different.

He just checked and it seems like the title page numbers are more accurate, so that can screw over the PNT order.

wew I just hope we can get the view counts working some day and get more accurate metrics for this nonsense

I'm pretty biased against the list because I had a manga I'm working on that didn't make the list because the title entry was made a month before I started working on it by someone else, so I really hope it get switched out sooner than later too.

Understandable, and as I said before we're aware of that being potentially unfair but with the current API there is simply no better way to form that query.

This hit the list right now with 5300 followers. This has 7100 followers.

Interestingly enough this one also was bypassed even though it had 100 more followers.

@bondejeger just curious, what are the titles that appear in your featured top titles, for me the lowest has 12k and the one that you mention doesn't appears.

Edit, well I have compared logged out and for me No.2 is another and this moves the list 2~9 and become 3~10, couldn't this be related to the cache updates mentioned, the one that appears as the 10th title according to the forums is from August, and the other two are from Septemember...

It's based on time zones I think, though that shouldn't matter in this case since it made the list because another title on the list was switched from suggestive to erotica. This is the sfw list without nsfw titles, you have to disable porn to see it. I mostly always have porn disabled.

Second edit, Logged out and removing the checklist for suggestive, it displays this title (6th in the list) after the 5th prince one, which now appears as 5th in the list

Truth be fair that title is wrongly tagged and should be tagged as suggestive.

@bondejeger Yes, as I acknowledged previously, both of the numbers are inaccurate, with the listing being worse off which can screw over PNT over titles, especially ones with relatively small follow numbers.

Manually clearing the cache on the other title pushed it to the PNT where it should have been, but the fact that that's not always happening when it should is a bug.

PS: if you have a Group Leader or above role on Discord, you can manually reindex a title (force clear cache) with a bot, if a title gets stuck.

But DON'T try to spam it multiple times a day on multiple titles, especially if it doesn't change the actual order of the top 10 titles.

This place is such good place but so unfortunate that the ten slop always in front for no reason.

I'm saying this again and will always say it. Pls make a recommendations feature, so after finish a manga you can recommended similar title or from same author.

This will help much to make old manga resurface and not sink to oblivion

If you're looking at the chapters for Osananajimi wo Erabenai! (Shorts) then they were originally on the main title but then moved over after that shorts page was made at 2024-10-20T17:46:40+00:00 but if that's not what you're talking about then the other pages aren't two months old either:
