I can forgive a world being stagnate because similar to our world, the medieval era spanned roughly around 1,000 years from 400 to 1400 AD. Buildings included were made to last for a very long time, (reminder that we still have buildings here today from the ancient era). What bothers me the most is how come nobody double checked the remains of our MC? or find her lost items? Or why they left the room as it once was? Even more confusing, is how is her bag still intact? Considering she fell into this world's equivalent to an incinerator but with magic, you'd think her bag would just you know... Burnt to ashes the moment she jumped in.
Just an idea:
  • They left the room as it was out of reverence. Maybe especially guarded, so that the bag was still there.
  • The bag survived because some magic items are just extremely sturdy.

I'm also trying to remember if living creatures can even be stored in the magic bag. If not, how did MC get inside, or is that an exception?

And in the first place, could mc have put the boulder into the magic bag, instead of herself?

no idea... i mean like someone said before, most of the gang is probably dead or dying of old age.

Also something strikes me as odd... 70 years and the houses and everything outside is exactly the same?, does this world have no advances in tech?
I'd move away from the city that killed a God, and nearly cause the end of all life in the world (or that continent at least).

I never thought of it like that. I forgot how crazy religious the inhabitants this world is. Down to even the kids who was willing to harm themselves for the MC. And if I remember correctly they even had a doomsday lore written in their bible where the Goddess basically crashed out in the distant past. It would be interesting to see if such events are being written and how people see those events. Hell I could imagine those corrupt priest would be labeled like something like "The three devils" and the Prince being called "The Heretical Prince". But sadly it's an isekai, so their exploration of the world is going to be shallow and surface level. Lot of isekai just lack the "cause and effect", and more "and than this happens".

If anyone also thinks this is kind of a weird way to start a new arc, know that this is exactly how the LN went as well. Suddenly 70 years past and everyone's dead.

It honestly feels like a new story built on the previous universe, which is weird because the old story didn't feel finished at all. Kinda dropped the LN after this point as the best friends dynamic never really gave me the same vibe as the old one.
Pretty sad that they just killed everyone off with no closure and then give the MC replacement BFFs like damn no respect.
