Does that mean he remembers the "past" as well? As in the previous life? That would explain the trust and attachment.

@aodpds711 I remember that but she never mentioned that the reason they were on this date was to get the mana stone right? And it seemed like he didn't know why when they got there but the next chapter he mentioned it so casually. I don't know maybe it was a small mistake by the author. Probably not any big meaning behind it.

Can we talk about how the troll got it's chain mace? It looks big and clumsy, thus probably incapable of smithing. Humans would have no need for a mace of that size, so it couldn't steal it from humans. Was there some idiot out there making giant weapons for trolls just because he could? Is there some kind of deal? I don't give two shits about Kian, I need to know how the troll got it's equipment!

@AaniK He might have also guessed it. She introduced herself as a magician, only lacking a mana stone, but clearly already having plans for acquiring one. Now she suddenly wanted to brave absolute wilderness for a few days.

@ContrarION Perhaps there's a troll society where they live hidden from the outside world and only the young and powerful trolls receive weapons made by the elders to go out and find a place where they can finally live in peace and without hiding, all of this because the humans attacked them hundreds of years ago and the past grudges are still in effect to this day, maybe this particular troll is just looking to help his fellow brothers in arms and be free and have a family.
